By accessing or using the ShelterScore platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.
These terms create a legally binding agreement between you and ShelterScore. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts to use our platform. By using ShelterScore, you represent that you meet these requirements.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when using our services and to update such information as necessary to maintain its accuracy.
ShelterScore provides a marketplace platform that connects customers with certified carport companies. We facilitate introductions but do not directly provide construction services.
We conduct verification processes for contractors, including license checks and background verification. However, we do not guarantee the quality of work or performance of any contractor.
While we strive to provide accurate information, we do not warrant the completeness or accuracy of contractor listings, pricing, or project estimates.
You agree to use our platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You will not use the platform to violate any applicable laws or regulations.
You agree to communicate respectfully with contractors and other users. Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior is strictly prohibited.
You agree to provide accurate project information and requirements when requesting quotes or communicating with contractors.
Contractors must maintain valid licenses, insurance, and meet our certification standards. Failure to maintain requirements may result in platform removal.
Contractors agree to conduct business professionally, provide accurate quotes, and communicate timely with potential customers.
Contractors agree to maintain high quality standards and work in accordance with industry best practices and local building codes.
The following activities are strictly prohibited when using our platform:
Understanding the scope and limitations of our marketplace platform.
We strive for continuous service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance and updates may temporarily affect access.
While we verify contractors, we do not guarantee their work quality, timeliness, or performance. Users contract directly with contractors.
Our platform may integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for the availability or performance of such services.
We provide information as-is and do not warrant its accuracy, completeness, or reliability for any specific purpose.
For contractors, subscription fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law. You authorize us to charge your payment method for applicable fees.
For customers, our basic platform services are provided free of charge. Any premium services will be clearly disclosed with pricing before purchase.
The ShelterScore platform, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by ShelterScore and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
Our platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShelterScore shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of our platform.
These Terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of North Carolina, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to our platform at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately.
